Warnings & Ban Policy

A clear guide to warnings, temporary bans, permanent bans and ban appeals on the PBGaming x3 PvE Rust server.

Warning 1

Used for lower-level rule breaks where a player can reasonably correct the behaviour.

Final warning

A repeat of the same or similar behaviour can move the player to a final warning.

Temporary ban

Continued rule breaking normally moves to a timed ban, with the length increasing for repeats.

Instant / permanent ban

Cheating, serious threats, attacks on the server and other severe offences do not require warnings.

How the warning system works

Minor offences normally follow the same simple escalation path.

1WarningPlayer is told what rule was broken.
2Final warningA repeat puts the player at the final stage.
3Temporary banFurther repeats receive increasing ban lengths.
Warning expiry: ordinary warnings may be treated as spent after 30 days without further trouble. Serious offences are handled separately and do not need a warning first.

Offences and normal actions

These are the standard starting points. Staff may increase or reduce an action when the evidence, severity or player history justifies it.

Instant permanent-ban offences

These offences are serious enough that staff do not need to issue warnings first.

Cheats, hacks or unfair scripts

Using software, scripts or other tools to gain an unfair gameplay advantage.

Confirmed ban evasion

Using another Steam account to bypass an active PBGaming ban after staff confirm the accounts belong to the same player.

Attacking the server

Deliberately crashing, exploiting, disrupting or attacking PBGaming services or infrastructure.

Real-life threats or doxxing

Serious real-world threats or sharing another person's private information without permission.

Ban evasion & linked accounts

PBGaming may use account-linking and connection evidence to help staff investigate possible alternative Steam accounts.

An IP match by itself is not treated as proof. Shared homes, VPNs and some internet providers can cause different players to use the same public IP address.

A ban-evasion action should only be taken when staff are satisfied that the accounts belong to the same person.

Ban records & reasons

Staff should record a clear reason whenever a warning or ban is issued, for example:

Racism / Hate Speech — 7 Days

This keeps the public ban list, staff records and Discord moderation logs clear and consistent.

Think a ban is wrong?

Use the private Support Centre to submit a ban appeal. Include your Steam ID, the ban you are appealing and any evidence that helps staff review the decision.
